In north Kosovska Mitrovica, Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanovic delivered decisions on the allocation of RSD 110 million of incentive funds to create 170 new jobs.
“The purpose of these incentive funds is, primarily, the development of Serbian communities and to encourage youth employment”, Bogdanovic said, adding that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija live in very difficult conditions, and each new job “means survival to them because it ensures their existence”.
Bogdanovic has pledged that the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija will, with the help of line ministries in the Serbian Government, do everything possible to encourage an even stronger economic development of Serbian communities in the province in order to create conditions for subsistence and massive return of the displaced.
The Minister added that the funds will be divided according to clearly specified criteria and their spending will be controlled.
Bogdanovic said that the allocation of incentive funds for economic development of Kosovo is “the best confirmation of the seriousness and determination of Serbia to defend its sovereignty and preserve Kosovo within its borders.”
One of the fund receivers, the owner of a private company “Manel” from Leposavic, Nebojsa Radulovic, said that the received money will help him expand the production of electrical materials.
“The best thing for businessmen is access to funds”, Radulovic said and called upon the institutions and banks to, not just declaratively, but also substantially work on improving working conditions for businessmen from Kosovo, because that’s the only way for Serbs to survive in Kosovo.
