Kosovska Mitrovica - Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanovic handed out today in the Ministry’s premises in Kosovska Mitrovica, the solution for the allocation of funds to encourage entrepreneurship in Kosovo and Metohija in the amount of 34,726,000 dinars as follows - 16,869,000 for manufacturing and 17,857,000 for servicing activities.

- The main objective is self-employment of new people in these areas, so as to create conditions that people live off their own labor, rather than social welfare and charity - said Minister Goran Bogdanovic. He reminded that "despite the delicate economic situation, the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija, conscious of the overall situation and the conditions under which Serb population in Kosovo lives and works initiated and implemented various support and aid programs to facilitate the sustainable survival and create conditions for the returns.rn

Sixty persons registered with the National Employment Service of districts of Kosovska-Mitrovica, Kosovo, Kosovsko Pomoravlje and Prizren received loans today, and in the next 15 days, another 35 million dinars will be distributed to private entrepreneurs - said minister Bogdanovic and recalled that ‘’in the past two years 312 jobs were opened in this way’’.rn

- The doors of the Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija are open to all citizens, to educating all who are interested in doing business, because not everyone can work in government agencies - said Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanovic.

- Bearing in mind the unequal economic development of northern and southern part of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as unequal opportunities to create stable conditions for business, the Commission of the Ministry took care of the equitable distribution of funds, so to entities in the district of Kosovo one assigned 41% of the funds, in Kosovska Mitrovica district 28,7%, in Kosovsko Pomoravlje district 21,4% and in the district of Prizren 8,87% - said Minister Bogdanovic.rnrn

Minister for Kosovo and Metohija announced yet another action to help the socially most vulnerable category of population, where 700 households receive help in food and hygienic items. The aid will be distributed through the Red Cross and the local government.
