Belgrade – By issuing a command for the KPS to exercise control over the delegations coming from Serbia, whether their presence in Kosovo be authorized or not, the EULEX violated its status neutrality, to which it is obligated by its mandate.
It is obvious that by this move the EULEX has sided with Priština, taking the role of a secessionist councilor, in violation of Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council. Our patience and our demonstrated constructiveness have limits. This position by the EULEX, as well as the recent statement of the European Union representative for the north of Kosovo, Michele Griffon, that the status of Kosovo is a done deal as far as the EU is concerned, inevitably place our further cooperation under a question mark.
I demand that the EULEX urgently withdraws this decision, because otherwise, as I said, our cooperation and relations will be seriously called into question. It is obvious that EULEX deliberately timed this decision to coincide with the elections in Mitrovica, and in doing so it sided with Priština’s provocations.
Still, and despite all provocations, the elections in Mitrovica scheduled for May 30, will take place and more importantly, they will confirm once more the seriousness of the state of Serbia, strengthen its institutions and presence in the province, especially in its northern part, however much some people might dislike and object to that.
I would like to underline that this morning I arrived from Belgrade to the northern part of the Province without any problems, and I am still there. How will anyone ban me, born and living in Kosovo and Metohija, or any other Serbian politician from the province, from coming to our own house?
