Belgrade - Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija condemns the phantom Declaration of Independence issued by Union of Municipalities of Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija as a deed of few irresponsible persons.

Ministry for Kosovo and Metohija appeals to Kosmet Serbs not to take in the provocation from Pristina and irresponsible persons and groups from Serbian community as well, because they represent only themselves and there personal interests. The Government of the Republic of Serbia has clearly defined policy towards Kosovo and Metohija which is well known to Kosovo Serbs and the Government have not intentions to abandon this policy. Everything that goes out of this political framework and out of the framework of relevant state institutions is not in accordance with official Serbian policy, ant it can be considered exclusively as a deed and personal attitude of some irresponsible individuals.
