Nikolić: We are still battling against so-called Kosovo’s membership to UN

October 04, 2015

President Tomislav Nikolić said that Serbia, while struggling to revive its economy and create new jobs, continues its battle against the admittance of the self-proclaimed state of Kosovo to the United Nations.

"We are investing great efforts to convince all reasonable people in the world that Kosovo cannot become a member of UNESCO and that Kosovo's alleged cultural heritage and history are entirely Serbian. If we had been able to safeguard it for eleven centuries, we the Serbs will continue to protect it in the future, because mere geography and the fact that it is located on the territory of the so-called Kosovo, does not make that heritage Kosovan, only Serbian," Nikolić said at the central memorial ceremony at the Jajinci Memorial Park.

Nikolić said that Serbia is struggling in a way that is not always visible, but is the only possible in a world governed by force.
