Belgrade will not allow the trend of criminalization of the north of Kosovo and will protect the Serbian institutions and the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija from it, the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djurić, said today, while pointing out that according to the data of the Kosovo police, there are fewer crimes in the northern part of the province than in other parts of this territory.

Djurić told reporters that the ultimate goal is to declare Serbs and Serbian institutions non-existent and criminal, that is to create conditions to take over the north.

“We will not allow it. We will defend our institutions and our people”, Djurić said.

Asked about the role of Milan Radojičić in northern Kosovo, Djurić said that anyone who committed a criminal act should be punished, regardless of whether it is a Serb or and Albanian.

“They want to criminalize the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and portray them as a source of problems. The issue of the blooming crime rate is often emphasized. Is there crime in northern Kosovo and Metohija? Yes, there is. Is there more crime there than in other parts of Kosovo and Metohija? No, there isn’t”, Djurić said, citing Priština’s official police reports.

He noted that, as far as he knows, Radojičić is a businessman and he added that he is not the one who is obliged to give this type of answer.

“I met him and talked to him on several occasions. I don’t know what it is about his job that you are exactly interested in. I am not the one who is obliged to give this type of answer. I’ll repeat, regarding all insinuations about him and his work or anyone else, anyone who is guilty should be punished. If there is no evidence, he did not deserve this unfounded campaign against him”, Djurić said.
